LJ SLAVIN

Violin, Mandolin, Flute, Tin Whistle, Harmonica, and SAW....(yes SAW)

Multi instrumentalist L.J. Slavin, was featured on Broadway in the Tony Award winning production of “The Grapes of Wrath.”  He has worked with Steppenwolf, Goodman and Northlight theatres in Chicago as well as productions across the country and abroad, including the critically acclaimed “Woody Guthrie’s American Song” and “Appalachian Strings.”  His musical travels have taken him from the hollows of Appalachia to two concert tours of the British Isles and Ireland.

His playing can be heard in a number of radio and television jingles. He also presents music assemblies for schools, concerts for seniors, and runs “Sounds for Real” music and entertainment agency.  In addition to his solo performances, he could be heard playing a wide variety of music in several bands including Swing Indigo, 7th Voyage, Ambiente, The McRovers, Whiskey Hollow Bluegrass, and the Silverbridge Band with Joe McShane.

Then, as luck would have it, LJ joined The Katie Sullivan Band last year. Every show since then has been explosive, with LJ soloing brilliantly from his arsenal of instruments on stage. The KSB is thrilled to have such a fine musician in the band.
